People have asked me many times,"What do you sell online?" Truth is even I have started my online ventures since late 2004, till now I don't even have my own website. This got me thinking…. I have been depending on other programs to pay me. If they decide to run away with my money, there is nothing I can do. I just can't seem to fit the pieces together! My conclusion : It is not easy to start an online business!!!

I have tons of ebooks from the so-called millionnaire gurus sitting in my pc and I have not made a single cent. A few days ago, I got an email (I subscribe hundreds of Internet marketing newsletters) telling me that a new ebook has launched! In my mind, I told myself, "Not again…" But something in that email caught my eye. The ebook comes from an unknown, non guru marketer. He is just a normal guy who has started his online business in 2005. After a year, he is now earning a very comfortable income from his online business. And he has created a BLUEPRINT, a system for complete newbies to follow. Ok, I told myself, for the last time, I will buy this ebook and give it a shot.
I started to read as soon as I downloaded the ebook, and I am pleasantly surprise to know that his system is very much easy to follow! He writes with a straightforward style and even include detailed videos for various tasks which other marketers took it for granted that everyone knows. For the first time, I find that creating a website is very doable (for someone technically challenge like me). He even has a private forum which he provides support for those who bought his books. To me, this is valuable as I know I can get help if I am stuck. Not many marketers bothers with personal support.

This is an aspect of online money making which I am hesitate to share. Why? Because it is highly risky and definately not recommended for the faint hearted. Out of 100 hyips, 99 are scams. Many people get burnt when the admin of these programmes decide to close the program and run with the money. If you are a person who don't like to take risk and prefer to stick to safe grounds, then this is not for you. But if you are a risk taker and prefer to let money work for you, then read on. And when my ROI is growing nicely, poof! the next thing I know , the programme is closed! And there is nothing I can do to take my money back! HOWEVER, having said that, there is still money to be make here. I am not involved in many hyips today and choose only the long term and lower ROI to invest in. The real investment programmes has a real source of revenue, e.g. Forex Trading, Real Estate, Shares and Stocks, and so on. But how to be sure they are actually using members' funds to invest in real investments? This is where you have to be smart and do some research before you actually jump into it.

So are you ready to start your surfing business? Here are some useful tips to make your life easier.
1) Set up a folder in your email account for saving the activation / welcome emails of all the surfing programmes you have joined. Name it something like, "Welcome emails". These emails usually contains important information such as your login name and password.
2) Now create a second folder in your "Favourites" or your desktop to save all your login links. You may include name of the program, website link, username, email, passwords etc. If you can login using your referral link, then this should be the one you login to. Most sites will give you extra credits each time your page is showed. By opening this page to login to, you are earning extra credits for yourself. These credits can be used for advertising your websites.
3) When signing up for autosurf programmes, you will be asked to give a website url you would like to promote. This url can be any sites you wish to promote as long as it meets the terms of the programme. For example, no X-rated sites, no hate sites, no pop ups and such.
If you do not have any programme to promote, you have several options:
promote one of you other autosurf referral url and earn commission and credits.promote your own homepage or blog to drive traffic and boost up your google adsense income.create your own webpage and list all your autosurfs links to gain referrals signup. 5)Know when to autosurf. Every program has 'Current Server Time'. You must follow their time. Keep track of their midnight time and convert it to your local time. This way you will know what is your local time which is the midnight time of the program. Normally I start my daily surfing after 1.30pm local time. Make sure you have autosurf before their midnight time otherwise you will lose earning for that day even though you have autosurf half way.
6) Work out an investment strategy. As the higher returns , the higher the risks, I prefer to put most my money in the lower ROI sites, ie. 1% – 1.5%. For sites which offers more than 2% per day, I prefer to put in smaller spends. However, some sites which offers 8% ROI perday for 16 days, this may seems high at first glance. But if you do some math, the gain may not be as much as it seems, look at the example below:
Total gain after 16days : 8% x 16 = 128%
Total profit after deducting principal: 28%
ROI per day : 28% / 16 days = 1.75% per day
If you include the 7 business days after expiration to get paid, the ROI maybe even less,
28% / 23 = 1.2% per day
What does this mean? For a well managed autosurf, this kind of ROI is quite sustainable and with good business practice, it can last for quite a while.
And remember to take out your initial investment as soon as possible. After I get back my initial investment, I usually follow a 50-50 compounding strategy. It means that each time I cash out, I reinvest 50% to keep my account growing, and keep 50% for myself. After you get more familiar with autosurfs, you may develop a plan or strategy for yourself.
Very importantly, DO YOUR RESEARCH!

I have been getting quite a number of enquiries on my experience in online money making, so I will try my best to share with you my online ventures as much as I can make time for it. Look out for more post very soon. Online money making IS NOT about ONE programme. Diversification is the key to earning a regular income. Diversification here means involving in several ventures which creates multiple income streams for you. If one income stream is stalled for some reasons, you still have others working for you.
Surfing (Autosurfs) is only ONE of my income streams. It is the easiest and fastest way of making money. My strategy is diversifying into at least 5 autosurfs and try to build each one up to earn me a considerable income. Remember, these programmes does not last forever, so it is crucial that I use the extra income I earn from autosurfs to diversify into other more stable, long term ventures. It took me a long time to realise this fact. Last year, when my main autosurfs programmes came to a slowdown, I was left with no income and had to start all over again. Recently, the autosurf arena suffered a huge setback from the Stormpay Fiasco, which left a huge dent on many autosurfs and many had to close down. Although I suffered losses as well, but the effect is minimal as I have other ventures still earning money. So there is an important lesson to learn here: Build up your income with autosurfs and then diversify into other ventures.
As I mentioned the Stormpay issue left a huge impact in the autosurf arena, one have to be cautious to join any autosurf programmes at the moment. A few autosurfs survived the crisis and appear to be stable. Here are some of the autosurfs I am in at the moment, some are in testing phase. (Testing here means I usually test out a programme with a small spend to see if they pay.)
This autosurf is paying 1% ROI for 250 days. What make this different is the admins trade in forex. And this is a source of revenue for this program. The admin is very open and even shares his trading strategies. If you are interested to trade forex, there is a free training sessions for members. These trainings usually cost a bomb to join. So if you want to try your hand into trading forex, this maybe a good starting point to learn. ( If you think I am speaking something impossible as far as trading forex goes, just to let you know that my mom is into trading forex herself, and she is already 60 years old…. 
) I, myself, have dabbled in forex trading, but it is not really my cup of tea. So who knows , some of you might find this right for you.

I have just joined this recently, and still in testing phase. It is paying 2% ROI , so it is a bit on the high side. But if the admin is a good business person, he may pull it off and make this last for some time. So far, the reviews from members are excellent. What I like best is the daily withdrawal feature. I can take my earnings out daily so this will reduce the risk considerably. I will be updating on this programme.
Update 25/06/2006: I am truly growing to love this site. It is paying me EVERYDAY without any problems. The admin, Andy, is fast to reply any emails, which is a very good sign.

I have started surfing for a living since mid 2004. Yes, after failing in many offline MLMs and got scammed in work-at-home programmes, I count my blessings when I happened to bump into paid-to-surf programmes which opens to a whole new world of possibilities for me.
What are Paid-to-surf programmes?
Basically the concept is we get paid for viewing advertisers' sites. In the original Paid-to-surf programmes, members are paid to click a link or banner which leads to the advertisers' sites and money will be credited for viewing the site for a set timer, say 20 seconds. However, the earnings are small, ranging from 0.01 -0.05 cents for one viewing. I used to click till my fingers are sore before I can reach $1.
However, these has evolved into a whole new industry, more popularly known as Autosurfs. These are much more popular compare to the original version. It is known as Autosurfs because one does not need to click manually to the next sites, but rather websites were automatically rotated, it is like watching slide show, without you lifting a finger. After I have surfed the required number of sites each day, I will be credited a certain percentage as my earnings. This may sound like the easiest way to earn money online. Well it is… however…..
Most of these autosurf programmes require you to put in a sum of money. The ROI of each autosurfs varies. Let's say an autosurf pays 1% ROI per day for surfing 50 websites. So if you put in $100 , eg. you will be earning $1 per day after you surf 50 websites. At the end of the month, you will have earned $30. That is your 'salary' for the month! If you put in more , you will earn more and otherwise. Easy money , huh?
Well, by now, you maybe asking, "so what is the catch?"
There IS a catch. On the net, there are good and bad programmes. Many of these programmes are ponzies. (If you don't know what a ponzi is, check out Charles Ponzi who gave the meaning to the word…. Click here.) When they can't sustain the payment to members, it is bye bye to your money if they decide to pack their bags. In the online world, there is not much you can do to get your money back. Don't despair though, this is what this blog is for! Before I made any money, I have lost a lot before I actually learn the tricks of making money and minimise my loss.
First, you have to remember some ground rules. I suggest you to memorise it or write it down somewhere….. keep this in your head.
Golden Rule No 1 : NEVER INVEST MORE THAN YOU CAN AFFORD TO LOSE.
Golden Rule No 2: DON'T BE GREEDY. AIM TO TAKE BACK YOUR INITIAL INVESTMENT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
Golden Rule No 3 : DIVERSIFY! DIVERSIFY! DIVERSIFY!
Got that? Remember these rules and you will be fine.
Ok, now you need to look for GOOD surfing programmes. Some elements of a good programme:
1. Honest and Professional Administrators. Admins with good business sense and professionalism will keep the programmes alive for a longer term. Good admins will use the members money to invest in REAL business or investment to generate the ROI to pay members. It is always good to check out the admin before you even decide to put your money in.
2. Professional Script and Paid hosting. Good admins will invest some money in programming scripts and hosting. There are cheap scripts which can get for as low as $20. These are commonly known as scammers' script. A college student can afford to pay for the script and start a programme and collect money right from his room. The programmes should be hosted on a dedicated servers. DDOS attack is a common excuse for admins to close the programme.
3. There should be a forum for members to communicate and the admin or support staff should make an effort to communicate with their members.
4. The ROI should not be too high. 1% per day is more sustainable than 8% per day, for instance. A programme with other source of generating revenue will last longer than a programme which solely rely on new members' money.
Even a programme has ALL the above characteristics, it does not mean it is 100% safe, and you can put in your life savings. THESE PROGRAMMES WILL NOT LAST FOREVER! The average life span of a surfing programme ranges from 6 months to 2 years. We should aim to join programmes which has the potential to last long.
Another point to remember is to diversify. If you have $500 to invest, it is better to invest $100 in 5 programmes than $500 in one programme. When one goes down, you have another 4 generating income for you. And meanwhile you should aim to find another better programmes to join.

Before we get to actually start to make money online, there are a few things to take care of.
Computer Security
First of all, the most important, is to make sure your computer is secure. In the online world, there are hackers everywhere. Some want to steal our identity, identity theft is rampant online. Some want to steal our hard earned money. We are going to make serious money online, so computer security is a serious issue. These are the resources which I am using to keep my pc as secure and safe as can be.
1) AVG Anti-Virus. I have been using the free version for a long time and so far it keeps my pc free of virus and other nasties. It offers a "Scheduler" you can set to automatically test and/or update. AVG also has an e-mail scanner.

You may have your own antivirus software, by all means keep it updated. However, make sure there is only ONE antivirus software protecting your pc. If you have more than one, they will end of fighting each other and at the end, nothing gets protected.

3) Anti spyware and adware. This is frequently overlooked by many of us. Spyware and adware cookies are placed in our pc to track our online activities. Some are quite harmless but some can actually trace your keystrokes when you type a password to your email, for example. So it is important to keep your pc free of spywares and adwares. And antivirus software and firewall will not do this for you.

It may get some getting used to it, but once you start using it, you'll love it. I did.
You should have at least two working emails. For contact emails, I love to use gmail from Google. I have have problems getting emails with this provider. The best is it has up to 2.5 GB of storage, and you won't have to worry about deleting emails all the time. I use my gmail for subscribing newsletters, forums, free programs as well as correspondence. I tend to get a lot of spams in this email. That is why the huge storage space comes in very handy. More over, there is a "Report Spam" feature which allows you to filter unwanted emails to this folder and it will automatically emptied for you. If you want a gmail account, please email me for an invite.
The second email address should be used ONLY for payment processors and important programmes. This email should be kept private and NEVER made public. I use Hotmail (http://www.hotmail.com) and Safe-mail (http://www.safe-mail.net) for this purpose.
Form Fillers
This is something which I cannot do without. It is never safe to type an important password directly to fill the form. If your pc is hacked by a keylogger without you knowing it, your keystrokes maybe captured and the hacker can login to your account and change important information and steal your money.

Three years ago, I have made the biggest decision of my life, to quit my job to become a full time stay at home mother after my second baby was born. With two young children, I am determine to raise them myself.

What I am going to share is for mothers like myself. However, before you read on, you need to have an open mind as well as detemination to learn. I am not any expert but I do hope to share whatever I can. I welcome any comments and I hope we can learn together.
To those mothers who are thinking of working from home, stick to your decision. You just need to have tons of persistence and determination. Nothing is impossible.
